Cultus Lake Cottages Phase 3 just launched

Just 90 minutes from downtown, short stroll from lake, third phase of project proves popular

The third phase of units at the Cottages at Cultus Lake recently launched for sale, with 80 per cent of them now in move-in condition. The 35 Craftsman-style cottages went to market on the May long weekend. On offer are 16 different floor plans, including ranchers and two- and three-storey cottages. New to this phase are cottages with lofts and walkout basements.

The cottages, which are 90 minutes from downtown Vancouver and just a short stroll from the lake, are priced from $334,900 to $619,900. Developer Jon van Geel said there is proving to be significant interest in the development, which has a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse called The Treehouse that includes hot tubs, a lap pool, children’s splash pool and fitness centre. As well, the development has tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, barbecue facilities and a community garden.

“Through spring of last year, we had a similar number of people coming out that were interested in the cottages, but were a little uncertain about the market and what was going to happen with the HST,” van Geel said in a prepared release. “With the new five-per-cent rebate in place, the HST is as good as gone, and we see more confidence in the market and a real pent-up demand, which has led to sales well ahead of last year.”

There are a total of 218 cottages at the site. Among the noteworthy features: high cathedral ceilings, open loft spaces, covered front porches and back decks. For more information, call 1-877-888-4950, visit www.CultusLakeCottages.com or email Info@cultuslakecottages.com
