The big sell: The terms “waterfront” and “freehold” can be like magnets to potential buyers, especially when applied to properties in False Creek, since many condos in the area have marina views, but sit on leased land belonging to the city. The Pacific Cove complex was built in 1990, but recently had remediation work and had been newly rainscreened. The interior of this unit was painted in designer neutral colours, with new flooring and stainless-steel appliances installed. One of the benefits of an open-plan design is that the majority of the rooms benefit from the outside view. That applies to this home, which overlooks a communal landscaped garden, courtyard and waterways, and also has far-reaching mountain, city and water vistas. The home has the seawall on its doorstep, making both Granville Island and the former Olympic village neighbourhood within easy walking distance. Multiple offers were presented, but it took $80,000 over the asking price to secure this sale.
