The big sell: A few weeks ago, the B.C. Real Estate Association reported residential sales for the province had fallen nine per cent during the first six months of 2012, but sales had increased in the Okanagan. This single-family home in Kelowna’s Glenmore neighbourhood is a good example of a strengthening market in that region, as it sold for full price after 18 days. The home was built in 1967 on a landscaped 116-by-70-foot lot. It features three bedrooms, together with reception rooms on the main level, as well as a den, bathroom, laundry, storage and large recreation room complete with a fireplace in the basement. Outside, there is a 361-square-foot sundeck, a well-established rear garden and a fenced dog run. The property is walking distance to schools, shopping, transit and the amenities of downtown Kelowna. Beaches are minutes away.
